Festive Fiesta Earrings Using Polymer Clay Beads
What do you get when you combine cute oval polymer clay beads with tiny acrylic bicones on some head pins and ear wires? The answer is simple: Cascarones Earrings. Cascarones are hollowed-out chicken eggs filled with confetti. They are popular in South Texas during Easter season. Also, they are very popular in San Antonio during Fiesta. These polymer clay beads are perfect for creating that cascarones look. I add some small acrylic bicones to bling them up just a bit.
Starting this weekend I will have all of the “fixings” to make your cascarones earrings. Come by space #1057 and get your supplies to make these adorable earrings.
Check out this video to help you make your wire wrapped loops for the earrings. This was my first video and it is kinda of rough…I did not do any editing. Originally, I made it for a friend to help her learn how to make these loops. She decided to record it so she could watch when she needed a reminder. It’s not bad for a first try.
Not feeling crafty? Not a problem …. I am selling them for $3 a pair or 2 pairs for $5.
I am located at Traders Village – San Antonio- 10th street – space 1057.
